Jews are no more responsible for the actions of Israel than Muslims for the acts of Islamic States, says Jeremy Corbyn

In his speech, the British politician and leader of Opposition Jeremy Corbyn, made an entirely fair point that Jews should not be blamed for the behavior of Israel any more than Muslims should be for the behavior of states that are Islamic. He said:

Our Jewish friends are no more responsible for the actions of Israel or the Netanyahu government than our Muslim friends are for those of various self-styled Islamic states or organisations.

In a sharp attack, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor blamed the government for the ‘rising intolerance in the country’ on Tuesday.

Addressing the Lok Sabha, Tharoor said, “It is safer to be a cow than a Muslim in India.” Tharoor said that a Bangladeshi friend told him that fundamentalist leaders in his country attacked India in this fashion.
