According to a report by Thomson Reuters, Muslim consumer spending on clothing was estimated at $243bn in 2015, 11 per cent of the global market spend. It is expected to increase to $368bn by 2021. The report also puts revenues from modest fashion bought by Muslim women at $44bn in 2015. “The clothing may be modest, the success is anything but,” says the report.
